Introduction: A bit about me...

Hi there, my name is Hassan. I was born on the 9th December 1988. I studied at King Harold Secondary School in 2000 through to 2005 – Where I had successfully taken and passed my GCSE’s. I had then furthered my education and studied Multimedia for 2 years (National Diploma) at Harlow College.

Since then, I have been in a number of jobs, ranging from office work to a more practical role in my local gym and most presently, Tesco.

After an end to a relationship in 2009, I was advised by a few people, ‘a good way to deal with a bad break up is to use the event as a topic and write a song about it.’ As stupid as I found this advice, I thought I’d give it a try.

Within minutes of finding an instrumental and putting my pen to paper, I was away. Surprised with the outcome, I had shown some friends and family my completed song. They were just as surprised as I was. I then decided if I can write a song surely I could learn to sing it. It was then I found my first vocal coach on Gum Tree.

For 3 years I was writing songs whenever I could whilst taking vocal lessons.

In Mid 2011, my vocal coach and myself began setting up our own entertainment company. A few other people were recruited and I was heavily involved with the administration side of it.

Along side this I had under gone a 3 month course in soul, jazz & gospel to help improve my vocal chords. This course leads to my first stage performance in December 2011 in which I had sung in front of 200 people at Lewisham town hall.

However in mid 2012, I had decided to cease my involvement with the entertainment company that I was helping create due to a number of disagreements. This had also lead to the end of my vocal lessons, as my vocal coach was also involved with the company.

In September 2012, I managed to locate another vocal coach and have since then been taking vocal lessons with her. I had managed to record my first cover in a studio in December 2012 for Simon Webbe – Lay your hands.

Alongside this, I have been looking into setting up my own business within the music industry. Feeling that I needed to improve my knowledge of the industry, I had researched into some music business courses, which resulted in me finding Play Something’s National Diploma course in music business.

At present, I am undergoing this course. By the end of it, I am hoping to set up a music-based business that will benefit both the clients that I will be dealing with and myself. I am hoping to make my business grow both successfully and financially, which will eventually make it recognized in the Uk, Europe and Worldwide.
